Sorry it’s been a while since I last posted, it’s been quite busy trying to juggle several projects at once. I’m starting to get into a routine now, so hopefully I’ll be able to post a bit more regularly. On Thursday I went to the Tate Britain with some of my other class mates. We went into the John Martin ‘Apocalypse” exhibition, which was great. I absolutely adored his work, I found it to be really uplifting although they were set on biblical catastrophes. I made several notes of some of his paintings and sketched a few as well. I particularly liked one called ‘The Tragic Conversion of Salvador Dali’ by Glenn Brown, which was based on John Martins painting, ‘The Great Day of His Wrath’. I liked this painting because of the use of bright and vivid colours, which both Glenn and John used to create depth and perspective to the landscape.
Today I created a photo montage which can be found below and on my photography page under the portfolio menu. The montage is made up of photographs I have taken throughout various locations around London, America and my town, Ashford.
See you all again soon.
